Standing Fast
Saturday, August 15th, 2009

This video is long (19 minutes) but hilarious and thought-provoking. Angelo Geiger (the aforementioned bearded friar) talks to a bunch of kids about why they want to be knights, and what is the meaning of chivalry, et cetera. After slogging through politically correct, spiritually toxic philosophies all over the internet, it is so wonderful to hear a kid with a wooden sword say,

“Chivalry means, not hurting your sisters.”

Of course it’s also fun to listen to them talk about chainmail, King Arthur, and Tolkein. In the words of Friar Angelo,

“You saw a midget? That’s not the same thing as an elf.”

The Knights of Lepanto

Bother! My webmastering skills are still weak. =P I accidentally deleted my post about MaryVictrix.com.

Basically what I said before is, hooray! I found another website that talks about Christian chivalry — and not just the cliche “hold doors open” kind, but a pretty comprehensive look at what it means to be a Christian gentleman and respect the ladies aroundja. He aims to teach these principles to kids while they are still kids, which is excellent.

I think it is worth a look! It’s written by a friar with a sweet beard and robes. It is a very Catholic-y website, so there are a lot of things I raise my eyebrows at ^_o but even that’s enjoyable.

Become a facebook fan

Yay blog! This is just a quick note to say that you can find my book on facebook. I hope you will become a fan, because that helps me get this book into the hands of brothers who can help our sisters!

If you suddenly felt compelled to invite your friends to become fans, I wouldn’t try to stop you either. ;)
